About Kim's Kitchen

Kim’s Kitchen started its humble beginnings in year 2000 at a Joo Chiat shop-house with its Tingkat (multi-tier metal containers) meal delivery services to families. 

Its matron founder, Tan Swee Kim believes that her customers would be able to taste the difference when food is prepared with sincerity from the heart. Her simple theory is the foundation of Kim’s Kitchen success as through word of mouth and media reviews, Kim’s Kitchen has since become a leading Tingkat meal specialist in Singapore. With a high percentage of long-term customers, Kim’s Kitchen has grown into two industrial kitchen premises totaling 7,000 sq. ft. in Shimei East Kitchen.

Today its mission remains the same: “To prepare and cook delicious, affordable home-cooked meals from our hearts and have our customers experience the taste of home.”

Despite its growing success, it is still a family-run business with Madam Tan taking helm of Kitchen operations and menu planning and with her husband, William Tiang looking after the financials.  Their son, Clement Tiang is in charge of operations, marketing and the deliveries island-wide, while their daughter, Michelle Tiang, assists with the business expansion project.

Kim’s Kitchen’s food preparation is carried out in a stringent environment with quality control measures to ensure that food-safe standards are consistently achieved to maintain its HACCP and Bizsafe Level 3 certifications.

In 2013, Kim's Kitchen opened its flagship retail restaurant, 3 Plus 1 Restaurant in the central business district (CBD) area. It remains true to its mission of providing affordable, home-cooked meals to families during the special eat-out occasion. Further to that, customers also has the option to take-out affordable packaged home-cooked food through Rice Inn that was established in 2014 and is located next to its retail Restaurant. 

With many forward-looking ideas and plans, Kim’s Kitchen is poised to expand its coming Tiang’s Kitchen & Tiang Group in the near horizon.
